Aeschynanthus ‘Red Cascade’ is a hybrid by Bill Saylor of A. pulcher and A. micranthus. The latter is a relatively compact trailing species with many small dark red flowers; A. pulcher is a variable species often referred to as the Lipstick Plant. ‘Red Cascade’ is intermediate between these species, with a more delicate appearance than pulcher, and larger flowers than micranthus.
