C. erythrophaea is a fine species for home growing. It is vigorous, upright and spreading (not particularly trailing), with woody stems. Very free-flowering when given good culture, it has large burnt orange flowers held beneath the stems on long pedicels. Great for an east-facing window. C. erythrophaea is similar in some respects to C. rubricaulis. A photo of a whole plant can be seen here or here, and of a somewhat different form of the species here.
