Also known as xColtrichantha ‘Tigridia’ and Columnea ‘Tigridia’. Although this cultivar was exhibited under the name of xC. ‘Tigridia’, the Columnea Register notes that ‘Tigridia’ is an invalid name. The Register proposes that the cultivar be called xC. ‘Midget’, a valid name under which it has also been exhibited. Since the GRW uses a single Columnea genus (rather than the multiple genera of some taxonomists), the form Columnea ‘Midget’ is appropriate.
