I’ve seen this plant grown in a bed at Kew Gardens, to spectacular effect. Even without flowers, this species is beautifully decorative. Here it is growing in deep shade, at the Princess of Wales Conservatory, Kew Gardens. When hybridized with G. pedunculosa, it produces a vigorous and attractively shrubby plant, suitable for conservatory beds.
