Another cultivar has also been distributed as H. speciosa. It is smaller and darker-leaved than the plant shown here, with interesting bi-color flowers. It is quite possible that they will be separated into separate species upon further study.
H. speciosa ‘Ako Sky’ is a third cultivar, with somewhat different flowers.
