A number of Nematanthus have flowers dangling below the branches on long pedicels, as seen here. Most of these have broad corolla mouths, suggesting pollination by large bees or similar insects. Similar species include N. corticola, N. crassifolius and the hybrid N. ‘Stoplight’. Other photos of N. brasiliensis nicely illustrate the flower face and from the side.
