Shown at the Gesneriad Society’s 2018 convention show. Flower details can be seen here, and the tuber here. Another quite differently-flowered plant has also been shown under this name, and it’s not clear if it is a variant of the species or something quite different.

The form of the species shown above is fairly typical of plants in the “douglasii group” of the genus’s Dircaea clade. The pinkish flowers with purplish stripes can also be seen in Sinningia douglasii, as captured in an antique print here.
