This hybrid was produced by Mark Zukaitis. Marty Mines, one of the foremost hybridizers of miniature Sinningias, subsequently propagated the plant through tissue culture, and it became widely distributed. The hybrid was named after Marty’s wife Zelda, who, along with Marty, was one of the stalwarts of the gesneriad organizations.
