Streptocarpus thysanotus is characterized by a lower lobe that juts forward, and a somewhat fused upper lip pair. It is a member of subg. Streptocarpella, in Section Schizoboea. These photographs conform well to the formal description of the species published by Hilliard and Burtt in 1975.
